Bible Training Centre

The Bible Training Centre — or BTC for short — was the very first ministry established by Zambia Missions.

When the founders sensed God leading them to start a Bible college, they chose to step out in faith without "putting Him in a box" and limiting what He could do through it. They opened the centre believing it would become more than just a place of learning — and it has.

Today, the BTC sits at the heart of everything we do.

Our mission is to equip and send believers into effective ministry. Much of that equipping takes place through the training offered at the centre, where students are grounded in biblical truth, discipled in their faith, and encouraged to walk boldly in their calling.

From there, students are sent out to serve in the areas God has placed on their hearts — whether through our schools programme, youth ministry, Moms & Tots, outreach initiatives, or other forms of ministry within their communities.

Curriculum

At our Bible Training Centre, we make use of the Satellite Bible College International (SBCI) curriculum. The programme consists of three modules comprising 56 subjects, with each book covering a specific Bible-related topic in depth. The order of lessons taught is adjusted slightly to the needs of our students.

 

Because the material was originally written in Africa, the teaching is especially relevant and accessible to the communities we serve. In addition, our team continues to translate the training manuals into Tonga, allowing students to study and grow regardless of their English level or educational background. This opens the door for more believers to receive biblical training and be equipped for ministry in their own language.

 

We are also deeply grateful to Wave Church for partnering with us in all aspects of running the Bible Training Centre and the spreading of the Good News amongst both adults and youths.

Classes

We are currently running our Bible College with a class combined of 15 students that have started in 2024 and 25 students that have joined in 2025. On top of that, word has gone out that a new class of 2026 is soon to follow. 

 

Many of our students are pastors of local churches who come with a humble desire to continue learning and growing in ministry. Others have joined to grow in their personal relationship with God as they desire the outworking of real transformation in their personal lives.
